Weekend Indulgence: Peanut Butter and Jelly French Toast

The weekend is once again upon us.  Hallelujah.  Amen.

With Irene threatening to make her appearance this weekend, we are busy stockpiling the house with water, candles and flashlights.

And candy.

This morning I decided to take a break from all the Hurricane frenzy and make something different.

Something bad.

It involved homemade french toast and peanut butter and jelly.

And it was delightful.

There are few instructions with this recipe.  You'll need to make french toast, if you need a recipe use mine:

French Toast

You'll also need to make certain the centers are done and that the bread is crispy on the outside.  This is a must for all french toast, plain or otherwise.

Lastly, let the french toast cool for a few minutes, because peanut butter and jelly will get soggy super fast on hot french toast.

I know this from experience.

Once you have warm french toast, assemble your sandwich and dust with powdered sugar.

Inhale, smile and enjoy.
